Russel F. Sullivan Memorial Scholarship

FALL 2024

The Russel F. Sullivan Memorial Scholarship was established to support the members of the Monroe County law enforcement community by providing financial assistance for educational expenses at The College of the Florida Keys. Eligible applicants must be a full-time employee (officer OR support staff) of the Key West Police Department or the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicants must also have a complete 2023-24 FAFSA. Award covers the cost of tuition, fees & books at The College of the Florida Keys for the upcoming semester. Scholarships may be awarded up to six (6) years, not to exceed 60 credits.
*Preference given to certified law & corrections officers
*(A.A.) and (A.S.) degree-seeking students preferred, but not required

Scholarship Recipients are also required to:

1. Confirm registration in courses at The College of the Florida Keys in the term in which the scholarship is to be used.
2. Attend the Annual College of the Florida Keys Scholarship Recipient & Donor Social at the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the William A. Seeker Campus in Key West during the Fall semester. The event will occur on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024. Invitations will be distributed closer to the event.
3. Demonstrate and maintain the scholarship criteria and requirements.

The Foundation reserves the right to withdraw or modify the student’s award based on the student’s fulfillment of required scholarship criteria.
