Computer Science Scholarship

FALL 2024

The Computer Science Scholarship is awarded to a full-time, degree-seeking student enrolled in any Computer Science course at The College of the Florida Keys for the fall term. Eligible students must have a complete 2024-25 FAFSA and a minimum overall GPA of 2.5.

The value of the scholarship is $900 and the student must be enrolled full-time in at least 12 credits.

Funds may be used towards tuition, matriculation fees and lab fees.

Scholarship recipients are also required to:

1. Confirm registration in courses at The College of the Florida Keys in the term in which the scholarship is to be used.
2. Complete up to 4 hours of volunteer service with The College of the Florida Keys Foundation/Office of Development & Alumni Relations and/or approved charity if requested during the semester. (Details will be sent separately if/when applicable.)
3. Attend the Annual College of the Florida Keys Scholarship Recipient & Donor Social at the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the William A. Seeker Campus in Key West during the Fall semester. The event will occur on Tuesday, September 24th, 2024. Invitations will be distributed closer to the event.
4. Attend other scholarship recipient recognition event(s) and/or activities as requested by the scholarship donor if applicable.
5. Demonstrate and maintain the scholarship criteria and requirements.

The Foundation reserves the right to withdraw or modify the student’s award based on the student’s fulfillment of required scholarship criteria.

  3. In 500 words or less, describe how computer science has impacted your world and what contributions you will make to further influence this trend.
