Student Ambassador Scholarship

SUMMER 2024

Student Ambassadors work with the Office of Recruitment to serve as marketing & recruiting representatives for The College of the Florida Keys. The Ambassadors promote The College of the Florida Keys and its programs and services. An Ambassador must exhibit a complete understanding of The College of the Florida Keys, the campus, the programs and the vision. The position of an Ambassador is one of high esteem and a source of self-enrichment, which will prove beneficial in future endeavors. Student Ambassadors must participate in a minimum of 5 hours of activities per week during the hours of 9:00am – 2:00pm. Work assignments may include campus tours, welcoming new students, assisting with orientation and registration, and other campus activities.

Eligible students must have a complete 2023-24 FAFSA and a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Awards range from $1000 for part-time (6-11 credits in summer) to $1,200 for full-time (12+ credits in fall & spring) students. Scholarship monies can be used toward tuition and fees at The College of the Florida Keys for the upcoming semester.

Scholarship recipients are also expected to:

1. Confirm registration in courses at The College of the Florida Keys in the term in which the scholarship is to be used.
2. Attend the Annual College of the Florida Keys Scholarship Recipient & Donor Social at the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the William A. Seeker Campus in Key West during the Fall semester. The event typically occurs in September and details will be distributed when confirmed.
3. Demonstrate and maintain the scholarship criteria and requirements, as well as sign & adhere to the Student Ambassador Guidelines & Policies.

The Foundation reserves the right to withdraw or modify the student’s award based on the student’s fulfillment of required scholarship criteria.
