CARES Act Student Assistance at CFK
If you have already applied for the Keys Hope Scholarship, do NOT apply for this assistance. Your previous application will be considered here.
The CARES Act Student Assistance at CFK is to assist students with educational expenses such as housing, utilities, food, transportation, technology, and/or daycare that have been more difficult to meet due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible students must be degree/certificate seeking or in the EMT, Law Enforcement or Project ACCESS (FA Eligible) Programs, meet standards of satisfactory academic progress, and have submitted the 2020-21 FAFSA (2019-20 FAFSA no longer accepted) (If you have not completed the FAFSA, Click Here). Applicants are also expected to confirm registration in courses at The College of the Florida Keys in the Spring 2021 term (Spring 2020, Summer 2020, Fall 2020 terms no longer accepted).
The funds were made available through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that was passed by Congress and signed into law on March 27, 2020. This economic relief package was passed to protect the American people from the public health and economic impacts of COVID-19.
**The College reserves the right to withdraw or modify the student’s assistance based on the student’s fulfillment of required CARES Act Student Assistance criteria.
